Terms and Conditions for Website Use and Donations

1. Website operator

The artemida.md website is administered by Public Association “Artemida” (“PA Artemida”, “we”), with its registered address at 2/3 Nicolae Testemițanu Street, Block B, Floor 2, Drochia, MD-5202, Republic of Moldova, IDNO 1010620002839.

2. Purpose of the website

The website provides information about PA Artemida’s activities, projects and services, and allows voluntary donations in support of the organisation’s statutory purposes. Published information is of a general nature; by itself, it does not constitute legal, medical or psychological advice, or emergency assistance.

If there is immediate danger, call the emergency service on 112 or the relevant specialised services.

3. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing the website, you agree to use it lawfully, in good faith, and without affecting its security, operation or the rights of other persons. By selecting the confirmation option before payment and completing a donation, you confirm that you have read these terms and the Privacy Policy applicable to donations.

4. Donations

4.1 Nature of a donation

A donation is voluntary and is not the purchase of a good or service. The amount selected is transferred to PA Artemida to support its statutory purposes and activities, including assistance, prevention and awareness programmes, within the scope of the purpose communicated by us and legal obligations.

We do not promise an individual outcome, personal benefit or service in exchange for a donation.

4.2 Who may donate

You may donate if you have the legal capacity required to make a payment. If you donate on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to represent it. Do not make a donation using a card or account that you are not authorised to use.

4.3 Payment processing

Online payments are processed through the maib payment solution, integrated with WooCommerce. Methods available at the time of payment may include Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Full card details are entered on the payment processor’s secure infrastructure; PA Artemida should not store the full card number, CVV/CVC or banking authentication data.

We may receive information needed to confirm the donation, such as the transaction identifier, amount, currency, date, payment status and contact details provided for confirmation. Data processing is explained in the Privacy Policy.

4.4 Currency, conversion and fees

The amount and applicable currency are displayed during the donation process before you confirm the payment. If the currency of your card differs from the currency of the donation, conversion and any fees charged by the card issuer are determined by your bank or payment-services provider. PA Artemida does not charge additional fees beyond the displayed amount unless this is clearly stated before confirmation.

4.5 Donation confirmation

A donation is considered completed after the payment processor confirms the payment successfully. If payment fails or is declined, no donation is made. Please keep the transaction confirmation for any subsequent request.

5. Donation refunds

PA Artemida reviews refund requests received within 30 calendar days of the donation. Send your request to artemidaong@gmail.com or to our registered address, stating your name, the date, amount, payment method and proof of donation. For your protection, never send a full card number or CVV/CVC by email.

Each request is reviewed individually, including for fraud prevention and compliance with legal obligations. If a refund is approved, it will be made, where possible, using the original payment method. This procedure does not limit any rights you may have under the law.

6. Personal data and cookies

We process personal data only for purposes necessary for the operation of the website, communications, donations, security and, with your consent, analytics. Details of purposes, legal bases, recipients, retention periods and your rights are set out in the Privacy Policy. Details of cookies and your choices are set out in the Cookie Policy.

7. Use of content

The texts, images, graphics, logos and other materials on the website are protected by applicable law. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes while preserving authorship notices. Reproduction, modification, distribution or commercial use requires PA Artemida’s prior written consent, except where expressly permitted by law.

You must not use the website for unauthorised access, transmitting malicious code, fraud, unauthorised data collection or any activity that may harm the website or its users.

8. Third-party links

The website may contain links to third-party pages. Those pages have their own terms and policies; PA Artemida does not control their content, security or data processing. Please review their policies before using them.

9. Liability and availability

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information on the website is accurate and current and that the website is available and secure. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation or the absolute absence of errors. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

10. Complaints and dispute resolution

For questions or complaints, please first contact us at artemidaong@gmail.com. We will seek to resolve the matter amicably. If this is not possible, disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of the Republic of Moldova in accordance with applicable law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect legal, technical or operational changes. The updated version will be published on this page with its effective date. For a donation already completed, the version available when it was confirmed applies, unless the law requires otherwise.
