Increasing the capacity of frontline police officers to intervene effectively in cases of domestic violence, ensuring the protection of victims and compliance with the law – this was the general objective of the activity.
👩✈️👮♂️In this context, between 09.04.2025 and 10.04.2025, two training workshops were organized for two teams of 25 frontline police officers from the Drochia, Rîșcani and Dondușeni districts with the following topics:
1. Introduction to domestic violence. Definitions, types
2. Legislative framework and legal procedures.
3. The importance of collaboration between the police and the prosecutor’s office.
4. Investigation strategies, ethical and deontological aspects.
5. Simulation of intervention in cases of Violence based on case studies.
The workshop trainers Victoria Robu – Judge in the Drochia Court and Diana Turenco Prosecutor in the Drochia Prosecutor’s Office provided practical answers to the questions of the police officers who are the first to react and come into contact with people in cases of domestic violence.
The sessions were productive and combined the theoretical part with the practical part where the participants were able to exchange experiences and mutual good practices.
The training workshops are organized by the Artemida Public Association in collaboration with the National Inspectorate of Public Security of the General Inspectorate of Police and with the support of the Oak Foundation through ARC Romania within the Institutional Grant of the A.O “Artemida”
