In the penultimate week of July 2025, in the villages of Drochia, Chetrosu and Gribova, Drochia district, the ROMNI Roma Women’s Platform organized the 5th, 6th and 7th information sessions, within the project “RomaSafe: Protection of Roma Women, Prevention of Violence”. In these villages we met several Roma girls and young women, who want to learn and be active in the community, but also middle-aged and elderly women who expressed themselves categorically against violence against Roma women and girls.
The session addressed essential topics such as:
🔹Gender-based violence
🔹Reproductive rights
🔹Consent
🔹Early marriage and childbirth among Roma girls and women
The event was held within the sub-grant “RomaSafe: Protection of Roma Women, Prevention of Violence”, carried out with the support of Sida through the Embassy of Sweden in Chisinau, within the project “Prevention of violence against women”, implemented by A.O. Artemida.
