During the 16 Days of Activism Against Violence against Women and Girls, the heart of the campaign beats in the community! The Women and Girls Safe Space mobile team. The Women and Girls Safe Space, the result of a partnership between UNFPA Moldova and the Artemida Community Association, is making sustained efforts to reach directly those who need support the most. These days are not just about statistics, but about every refugee woman and every woman in the local community who is facing the harsh reality of gender-based violence (GBV). Through dedicated information sessions and constant presence on the ground, we try to break the barriers of silence and provide the necessary knowledge – about rights, about forms of violence and, most importantly, about how and where to seek specialized help. We are here as a beacon of hope, ready to listen, inform and effectively help these women connect to the services they need to rebuild their lives safely. Violence has no place in any community, and together we can give women the support they deserve.
