Today we continue to talk to you about the Mobile Teams within the Artemida Public Association 🚚
▶️With the support of our partners UNFPA Moldova, the Mobile Teams were created in response to the refugee crisis in 2022 and since then have been providing qualified services to refugees and host families every day. The services are provided by a psychologist and a social worker. Read about the activity of the social worker within Mobile Team No. 2 in the text below… 👇
🗣“As a Social Worker, I provide social services to refugees, people in the community and host communities. Interventions and community mobilization to promote gender equality and responsibility for preventing violence against women and girls as well as facilitating access to information services and specialized assistance and counseling services for people affected by VF and GBV.” the social worker tells us.
💬I organize and conduct information and support sessions aimed at:
– Informing refugees about GBV and Reproductive Health;
– I listen and observe what those painful states are for them and how we can intervene;
– I inform about specialized services in the context of preventing and combating GBV and specialized services in the field of SRH.
– I refer beneficiaries to the services they need;
I also offer individual social counseling focused on:
– Providing social assistance services to stabilize the psycho-emotional state.
– Providing support information to help refugees claim their rights.
– Ensuring the provision of safe services for refugees and people in host communities.
💬It motivates me to take care of people and help them. It is something that brings me many benefits, including the feeling of being useful, of belonging. By supporting people in situations of crisis, conflict, violence or other types of emergencies, I manifest a high degree of motivation and concern for the well-being of others. But I love everything I have done and what I do, I have always done it with all my heart for people. Always with the same motto: “There is no greater satisfaction in this world than helping a person in difficulty.” 🫂
