In a family where there is domestic violence, there can be no talk of love.

20/08/2025
Într-o familie unde există violență domestică, nu mai poate fi vorba de dragoste

In a family where there is domestic violence, there can be no talk of love. “It’s an attachment to the abusive person” – one of the guests of the new episode of “Oameni simpliș” tells us. We spoke to several survivors of violence who told us how it feels inside, but also how to overcome such a painful experience.
Why do victims have a hard time deciding to leave the abuser? What are the reasons behind it? When does the glass of patience finally fill up? What should you do when you notice that someone you know is facing domestic violence?
Find out four different stories, but connected by a common thread – the courage and determination of women to regain their freedom and their lives.
The guests of this episode are:
*Valeria, 25 years old
*Ioana, 37 years old
*Tatiana, 29 years old
Olga Bîtcă, survivor and specialist in working with victims
*The names of the characters have been changed to protect their identities.
This material was produced by Moldova.org (a platform managed by the Sud-Est Media Association) within the sub-grant “Voice of Survivors: Awareness and Support against Violence”, with the support of Sida through the Embassy of Sweden in Chisinau, within the project “Prevention of violence against women” implemented by A.O. Artemida.
