On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, the STUDY VISIT took place within the project “Consolidation of gender action in Cahul and Ungheni districts supported by UN Women.”
The event aims to contribute to the promotion and familiarization of the representatives of the Public Association “I Want to Know” Club from Cahul and the Public Association of Civic Education “The Future Begins Today” from Ungheni with specialized services provided by the Artemida Public Association from Drochia in the context of preventing and combating violence gender-based violence and domestic violence with a focus on specialized care for people affected by this phenomenon.
Also on this day was the launch of the project “Consolidation of gender action in Cahul and Ungheni districts supported by UN Women” implemented by A.O “Artemida” from Drochia for the development of assistance and counseling service for victims of gender-based violence and domestic violence (assistance to victims of violence) in Cahul and Ungheni districts.
The support and counseling service will be developed by December of this year. During the launch of the project, A.O „Artemida” signed two sub-partnership agreements with two (2) local NGOs (AO „Clubul Vreau Să Știu” from Cahul and AO de Civica Educă „Viitorul Starts Azi” from Ungheni), to develop a specialized intervention system in the field of preventing and combating gender-based violence and domestic violence in Cahul and Ungheni districts, and local authorities will be consulted and involved in the process. Also, within the project, the capacities and abilities of the teams of the 2 organizations will be strengthened by training specific skills and abilities to work with victims of gender-based violence and domestic violence.
