The Mobile Teams were created in response to the refugee crisis in 2022 and have been providing qualified services to refugees and host families on a daily basis ever since. Services are provided by a psychologist and social worker. Read about the activity of the social worker within the Mobile Team in the text below👇
💬For me, working as a social worker in the mobile team means providing services as follows:
– Drawing up the participation lists for the organized sessions and those for distributing the kits according to their distribution guidelines;
– Listening and observing those painful situations for the beneficiaries and identifying solutions as possible to intervene in solving the problem;
– Providing information on temporary protection, providing information on the rights and obligations of refugees on the territory of the Republic of Moldova;
– Providing information regarding the provisions of law no. 45/2007 on “preventing and combating violence against women and family violence” (restriction order and protection order, etc.);
– Information about the placement centers that exist in the Republic of Moldova, where they are located, what services are provided and how they can be accessed;
– Providing information on social services and ways to access social services intended for refugees, host families and the community;
– Providing information on health and mental health services;
– Referral to multisectoral VGB response services and non-specialized services;
– Providing information on issues related to sexual and reproductive health;
💭Factors that motivate me:
I can’t wait for the world to become better by itself, I feel the need to get involved to contribute as much as I can. We all know that to overcome certain difficulties it is very important to have someone by your side for support and to have a sense of security. The feeling that I have contributed to the community I belong to or that I have helped some people who are in difficulty motivates me a lot. There are many social causes that deserve our time, whether it is refugees who have no shelter or other urgent problems, victims of GBV, domestic violence or people who are in difficult situations. At the end of the day, I feel fulfilled that I contributed to the positive resolution of certain problems that could have evolved much more sadly.
