✨ On June 8, 2026, sub-grant contracts were signed with civil society organizations and media institutions selected under the “TOGETHER AGAINST VIOLENCE” program for the Drochia, Dondușeni and Rîșcani districts.
This grant program is part of the “Prevention of Violence Against Women” project, implemented by A.O. “Artemida” with the financial support of Sweden. The main goal of the projects is to develop local mechanisms for understanding, preventing and combating gender-based violence and domestic violence. Following a rigorous selection process, 5 projects were chosen to be implemented:
📌Response to violence against women and girls in the online environment and in similar contexts developed by the Center for Sustainable Development and Civic Innovation,
📌Prevention of gender-based violence: education, protection and intervention developed by the AO “Femeia de azi”,
📌IT DOESN’T HURRY ONLY WHEN IT HITS developed by the Periodical Publication “Glia Drochiană”,
📌Communities united against violence initiated by the AO “Băștinașii din Pelinia”
📌Hope and Resilience: Strengthening the Community Response for Victims of VF/GBV in the Dondușeni District developed by the AO “THE HOPE”.
Representatives of the 5 winning organizations were present at the activity, as well as the AO “Artemida” team. During the meeting, topics of major importance for the smooth implementation of the projects were addressed.
💬The event was opened by Mr. Simion Sîrbu, who addressed a welcome message to those present and emphasized the importance of the partnership with the new subgrantees. In his intervention, Mr. Sîrbu highlighted the essence and major objectives of the project, providing a clear perspective on the impact that the subgrantees program aims to generate in the community. 💭Ina Grădinaru, program coordinator within A.O. “Artemida” narrated the event and presented the general conditions for project implementation. The participants were presented with the activity monitoring plan by the organization’s communicator and the financial aspects of the projects by the finance department.
The A.O. Artemida team promotes team spirit and collaboration among the subgrantees and will closely monitor and mentor the implementation of the 5 projects.
