48 people, members of the Multidisciplinary Teams from Straseni and Falesti, received training in the psycho-social and legislative field in terms of preventing and combating domestic violence, where they learned how to react jointly to cases of domestic violence, in the result of a mentoring program developed by #UNFPA in partnership with the Artemida Public Association. EMD Fălești coordinator, Natalia Rusnac: Between October and December 2021, a training cycle for the members of the Territorial Multidisciplinary Team was held by the AO “Artemida”. The purpose of the training was to guide the members of the Territorial and Local Multidisciplinary Team in the integrated, multidisciplinary and effective approach to cases of domestic violence and in providing quality services to beneficiaries, accepting the need for multidisciplinary and interinstitutional cooperation. These trainings have had a very relevant impact on their work, from identifying and assisting cases of domestic violence; • There was a structured discussion about the role of each specialist, the responsibilities and limitations within the EMD, as well as the identification of strategies for resolving domestic violence cases, leading to reduced intervention time and more effective protection of victims of violence. in family; • Increasing the level of knowledge and skills of EMD members, needed to assist and intervene in solving identified cases of domestic violence; • Increasing the efficiency of collaboration and coordination within EMD;
The members of the territorial multidisciplinary team will know and apply the tasks that contribute to:
1) Identification, signaling, initial assessment and taking over the cases of victims / potential victims of THB, domestic violence, respectively adults and / or children;
2) Detailed, comprehensive and multidimensional assessment of the situation of beneficiaries of victims / potential victims of THB and violence;
3) Planning of specialized and support services, as well as other interventions necessary for the rehabilitation of the beneficiaries, including services or interventions addressed to the direct beneficiaries as well as to the alleged perpetrator / aggressor;
4) Provision of services and interventions: assisting children victims of violence, respectively adults and / or children victims of domestic violence, as well as the family, in obtaining and using the necessary services and initiating, if necessary, legal procedures;
5) Periodic monitoring and re-evaluation of the progress made, decisions and specialized interventions;
6) The closing stage or the final stage of the process of providing specialized services and interventions with post-service monitoring and case closure. The mentoring program is carried out within the regional program “Together against gender stereotypes and gender-based violence”, funded by the European Union in the Republic of Moldova and implemented by UN Women Moldova and #UNFPA.
