Today we will talk to you about the Mobile Teams within the Artemida Public Association
The Mobile Teams were created in response to the refugee crisis in 2022 and have been providing qualified services to refugees and host families on a daily basis ever since. Services are provided by a psychologist and social worker. Read about the work of the psychologist within the Mobile Team in the text below…
“Working in the mobile psychologist team means that when I come to a meeting with the beneficiaries, I conduct information sessions about gender inequality, the stereotypes associated with it, gender equality, and the types and forms of domestic violence.” says Liliana – the psychologist from the mobile team.
”I provide information about the places where those who have been subjected to gender violence and domestic violence can go, as well as about the existing services to help victims of these types of violence in Moldova, and about the organizations that offer support to victims of GBV.
I carry out a series of sessions on menstrual hygiene. I also provide individual counseling services, where the beneficiary receives, first of all, psychological and emotional assistance, structured family counseling.
If necessary, and at the request of the beneficiary, referrals are made to specialized services for victims of gender-based violence and domestic violence.
In terms of motivation, I would like to highlight a few aspects that motivate me to work with pleasure in the mobile team for the third year in a row:
• I am inspired by the work process itself and the opportunity to help people.
• I am interested in people, in all their manifestations and characteristics. I know how to listen and empathize.
• I am satisfied with every positive change, even small, that I notice in the process of working with the beneficiary and in the progress of solving his problems.
• I am satisfied with my own progress, which my work inevitably generates, as well as with continuing education in the field.
• An important motivator is represented by creative, hardworking, honest and friendly colleagues, comfortable working conditions and constant support from the management of the Artemida Public Association and UNFPA Moldova.
All this contributes to a positive working atmosphere, which helps us to offer quality services to our beneficiaries”
