The Mobile Teams were created with the support of UNFPA Moldova in response to the refugee crisis in 2022 and since then have been providing qualified services to refugees and host families every day. The services are provided by a psychologist and a social worker. Read about the activity of the social worker from the Cahul Mobile Team in the text below… 👇
💬”Working with refugees is humanitarian work. You can feel fulfilled knowing that you are dedicating your time and effort to supporting people who have gone through immense trauma and difficulties,” says the social worker.
💬As a social worker, I have the opportunity to bring a real change in the lives of refugees, helping them integrate into the host community, facilitating access to essential services, education and job opportunities.
💬In this context, my mission is:
– to conduct information sessions about Gender-Based Violence, Domestic Violence, reproductive health, specialized services in the context of preventing and combating GBV;
– to spend individual sessions with beneficiaries through which I identify needs, try to find and implement solutions that produce positive changes in their lives;
– I refer people to quality social services adapted and focused on the needs of the beneficiary, after which I monitor and evaluate the progress made by the beneficiary.
🗯The work of a social worker is noble, beautiful and difficult at the same time, but the satisfaction you get when you know that you have managed to provide support to a person is one that cannot be rewarded in any way.
🟠We are convinced that only together, through consolidated joint efforts, can we face the challenges.
