👉On March 5, 2024, the Artemida Public Association in partnership with the Assistance and Counseling Center for Family Abusers city. Drochia had the honor of visiting
• His Excellency H.E. Fern Horine, Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova; UK in Moldova – British Embassy Chisinau
• Dr. Karina Nersesyan, UNFPA Resident Representative in the Republic of Moldova;
• Pippa Brown Humanitarian Coordinator Moldova;
• Representatives of UNFPA Moldova;
• FCDO representatives;
• Representatives of the Drochia Police Inspectorate;
• Representatives of the Drochia Probation Office;
• Local Public Authority;
📍The first part of the visit was based on sharing the unique experience of the district multidisciplinary team in Drochia in preventing and responding to gender-based violence. Special attention was paid to the program for working with domestic abusers and the collaboration of all actors involved in preventing and combating GBV and domestic violence.
📍📍 In the second part of the visit, the guests met with the UNFPA mobile teams managed by AO Artemida and discussed the importance of the mobile teams’ service in the context of the refugee crisis, the successes and challenges encountered in the day-to-day activity of the specialists, but also the collaboration daily with APL in order to ensure the continuity of the activity.
📍📍📍 At the end of the visit, the guests of honor visited the assistance and counseling center for victims of family violence, the “Ariadna” Drochia Center, where they discussed with the case workers about the management of GBV cases and cash assistance.
