40 specialists from the districts of Cahul and Drochia participated in a study visit to Cahul to exchange experience and good practices in the field of providing services for people affected by domestic violence.
The visit was attended by representatives of the administrations of both districts, representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office, the Judiciary, Probation Offices, the rayon Police Commissariats, the Directorates of Social Assistance and Family Protection, the Territorial Employment Offices, the “Trust” Maternal Center , Center for victims of domestic violence – Ariadna Drochia Center, Counseling and rehabilitation center for aggressors located in the city. Drochia.
Moreover, the challenges and lessons learned in the process of creating these services were discussed, as well as the opportunities and benefits of creating them. Specialists from both districts have also found out what it is and how different services work for people affected by domestic violence.
Among the main conclusions of the event were that all specialists working in the field of eliminating domestic violence must have the same approach to the phenomenology of violence and the intervention process in these cases in order to ensure a uniform quality of services and to increase their accessibility for the population.
