Improved local services for preventing and combating family violence
2018-2019

The project aims to contribute to the elimination of discrimination against women and girls, empowering women and promoting equality between women and men within the context of preventing and combating domestic violence and observing human rights. Also, this initiative aims to improve the quality of the services provided by the members of the local multidisciplinary teams and by specialized services involving Positive Champions in order to prevent and assist domestic violence cases.

Drochia on strengthening the capabilities of the team for both rehabilitation of victims of domestic violence and domestic aggressors as in the context of resolving and preventing cases of domestic violence.

Assistance and protection for the subjects of domestic violence by mobile grups

The overall project goal is to develop services specializing in the protection and assistance to victims and potential victims of violence and for perpetrators through multidisciplinary approach and improve beneficiaries’ access to quality services (medical, psychological, social, employment labor, legal, and housing) within the National Referral System (NRS).
Results:
1. 3 workshops were conducted for professional groups (police social workers, family doctors) to improve their ability to prevent, identify, refer, and provide integrated support for victims of domestic violence and their children.
2. Supporting and providing quality services, including medical, psychological, social, legal to satisfy basic needs, primary victims and those at risk of domestic violence and trafficking. 75 cases of domestic violence were assisted in the territory by offering psychological, legal and social services by mobile teams.

The project aimed to increasing the employment rate for victims of domestic violence in the northern districts of the country by developing the information services, guidance and career counseling and entrepreneurship, mobility, flexibility and adaptability beneficiaries in the labor market.
Obiectives:
1. Entrepreneurial training for 12 people from the districts in the north of the country. Advising and assisting direct beneficiaries to start businesses.
2. Promoting entrepreneurship and initiate business for 20 beneficiaries (beneficiaries trained during the project as well as holding a specialty).
3. 100 people supported in accessing a job.
