For two days (June 18-19, 2026), the office of the A.O. “Artemida” became an intense space for learning, analysis and collaboration. We organized a training course for the 5 civil society organizations and media institutions selected under the “TOGETHER AGAINST VIOLENCE” program, intended for the districts of Drochia, Dondușeni and Rîșcani.
This sub-grant program is part of the “Prevention of Violence Against Women” project, implemented by our organization with the generous financial support of Sweden.
The agenda of the two days was a dense one, perfectly combining the legal side with psychological practice, guided by experienced trainers, Nelea Panfil (psychologist) and Marin Maxian (jurist):
• Day I was dedicated to a deep understanding of the phenomenon of domestic violence, the national regulatory framework (Law no. 45/2007 and the Istanbul Convention), but also the psychology of trauma and correct communication with victims to avoid secondary victimization.
• Day II focused on community action: from awareness campaigns and safe mechanisms for referring cases within multidisciplinary teams, to the limits of intervention in relation to aggressors and risk management.
The training ended with an integrated practical Workshop. Participants worked in teams on complex case studies, simulating the entire path of an intervention: from identification and risk assessment, to inter-institutional cooperation (with the police, social and medical services).
We thank the trainers for their expertise and the participants for their dedication, energy and professionalism! Change starts with informed and committed people. 💛💙
